According to DOD:Lakeshore Engineering Services, Inc., Detroit,Mich., was awarded on April 21 a $12,964,259 firm-fixed-pricecontract. The award will provide for the design and construction ofbarracks, admin space, training classrooms, and other utilityinfrastructure in Afghanistan. Work will be performed in KabulProvince, Afghanistan, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 4,2012. The bid was solicited through the Internet with five bidsreceived. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo., is thecontracting activity (W912DQ-11-C-4011).
