The new passenger terminal at the Bellingham International Airport opened June 28, bringing a new look and twice the seating capacity to the overcrowded airport.
The expanded terminal has seating for 637 people and will replace the existing portable building, which seats about half as many people, said Adam Fulton, project manager for the Port of Bellingham.
"The new gate lobby is four times the size with about two times the seating, so it will feel very spacious," Fulton said.
